MEET THE TEAM

Dereck Tang

President

Derek is a senior at Foothill High School and the President of
TVAA Youth Leadership. He is also the Co-President of the Foothill Speech and Debate Team and has qualified to the Tournament of Champions, as well as reaching elimination rounds at many national tournaments. He plays piano at the Stoneridge Creek Senior Center. He hopes to help more people through TVAA.

Yvonne Liu

Vice President

Yvonne Liu is a junior at Amador Valley High School and currently serves as the Vice President of TVAA Youth Leadership. She has also been swimming competitively for over 10 years and is a Speedo Sectionals qualifier.  Through TVAA, she hopes to help the organization grow and to continue strengthening connections within the community. In her free time, Yvonne enjoys reading, traveling, and crocheting.

Kevin Ye

Secretary

Hello. My name is Keven Ye, and I’m 13 in 7th grade. I like to volunteer because it brings our community together and allows me to contribute to my society. I also do it because every time I try something, I learn new information or test something new that I didn't know existed. TVAA youth leadership has allowed me to do that, and on top of helping my community, it also teaches leadership skills, kindness and more. I think that by helping my community, I'm also helping myself.Im very thankful for this award and It is an honor to do so.

Lucas Zhang

Treasurer 

Lucas is a 7th grade student at Harvest Park Middle School who is currently serving as the treasurer for the TVAA Youth Leadership Team. He is actively involved in competitive math and has acheived outstanding results in regional and national competitions. Outside of math, he enjoys partaking in sports and staying active through basketball and ping pong. He loves cardistry as well. Lucas hopes to exapnd TVAA's reach throughout the community.
